Our vibrant IBM Z Community is at the center of everything we do, that is why our team is excited to announce a significant decrease in our monthly rate for Linux on RDP. The participants in the Linux on IBM Z Remote Development Program are enjoying a price reduction of 77% in the fee-based programs for Linux on IBM Z.
Under the previous program terms, the monthly charge is $550 USD and includes usage of up to 30 workunits per month and 10GB of user disk. Workunits used in excess of 30 each month are charged at the rate of $22 USD per work unit, up to a maximum of $12,000 USD in a single billing period.
However, we decided to decrease the program charges to a monthly flat charge starting at $125 USD. The initial configuration offered for the monthly flat charge of $125 includes 1 vCPU, 2GB of memory, and 50GB of disk storage. There will be no workunit charges. The monthly fee for extra disk storage changes from $10 USD for every additional 5GB to $1 USD for every additional 5GB. Additional vCPUs will be charged a monthly rate of $125 per vCPU.
ISV success in using the remote access programs continues to be a priority for our team. Easy access to ready-to-use systems, supported by skilled systems programmers and technical support staff, running on the latest IBM Z hardware and operating systems, access to a varied portfolio of IBM Z software, as well as hardware and software maintenance, are just few of the benefits users will continue to reap through these programs.
