Yasemin Ciftcisoy Sen is a seasoned Z system programmer with over three decades of experience in the technology industry. She currently serves as the Z Cloud Middleware and Communication Technologies Manager at Garanti BBVA. If you were to ask about her favorite IBM product, she wouldn’t be able to pick just one. She’s a fan of IBM CICS TS, IBM MQ and IBM Omegamon, explaining that these products provide resilient environments for an online Z workload.
As an IBM Champion for the past year, she has demonstrated her commitment to advocating for IBM products and the technology community through feedback, community involvement, and sharing her expertise. She believes in the power of lifelong learning and finds joy in seeing the evolution of IBM products over the years... Also, challenging herself to stay at the forefront of technology!
One of her most significant accomplishments is leading the successful Z data centre relocation project at Garanti BBVA, which they accomplished without external consultants. She’s proud of herself and her team for executing this project, getting all applications up and running in less than two hours.
If she weren't working in technology, Yasemin expressed interest in pursuing a career in healthcare, specifically as a doctor, to help people. But, in her role as an IBM Champion, she aims to contribute and help the community by supporting new graduates and people in their early careers with their integration into the field.
Yasemin recently spoke at the IBM TechXchange Conference in Las Vegas, where she presented a session titled "Optimizing by leveraging IBM OMEGAMON for Performance and AIOps Excellence." This event further highlights her dedication to sharing her knowledge and expertise within the technology community. We can’t wait to see you next year!
