IBM Z OMEGAMON Monitor for z/OS V5.6 Fix Pack 17, APAR OA64278 and PTF UJ92559 has now shipped.
The support provided in this deliverable includes the following:
- Toleration for z/OS 3.1
- General CPU Percent only metric now reported in Address Space CPU Utilization workspaces in e3270ui and TEP
- LPAR Clusters workspaces in e3270ui and TEP report greater precision for Physical CPU Percent and CPs CPU Percent, and new CPU Demand Percent attribute
- Impact Analysis workspaces in e3270ui now navigate to Inspect workspace
- Recording start and end times in UTC added to LPAR History Summary and CPC Summary History workspaces in e3270ui
Toleration for z/OS 3.1:
Validation testing completed to ensure that IBM Z OMEGAMON Monitor for z/OS V5.6 properly supports z/OS 3.1 without any limitations.
General CPU Percent only metric on Address Space CPU Utilization:
The Address Space CPU Utilization workspaces currently report CPU Percent which encompasses both the General CPU and zIIP usage by the address space. The new General CPU Percent only metric provides only the General CPU Percent usage and does not include zIIP usage to provide a clearer understanding of General CPU usage.
LPAR Clusters Workspaces updated:
The LPAR Clusters workspaces in e3270ui and TEP now report greater precision for Physical CPU Percent and CPs CPU Percent, and new CPU Demand Percent attribute.
Impact Analysis workspaces Enhanced Navigation to Inspect:
Impact Analysis workspaces in e3270ui now navigate to Inspect workspace to provide ability to drill down to get detailed CPU data similar to what is available from Bottleneck Analysis.
Recording start and end times in UTC:
The Recording start and end times in UTC have been added to the LPAR History Summary and CPC Summary History workspaces in e3270ui.
