How learning new coding skills can help feed children in underserved communities

Empowering Students to Support Tech4Good!

We are all feeling the COVID-19 pandemic and can see its devastating impact. It has caused significant challenges in our global community. Above all, it has affected both younger-generation education and intensified the crisis of world hunger. More than ever, we need global community engagement to create innovative solutions to turn these challenges into opportunities.

IBM is proud to support the World Food Programme (WFP) and its lifesaving work. Our collaboration aims to inspire students from across the planet to support a coding challenge that enables you to donate four meals to WFP’s #ShareTheMeal.

The objective of IBM’s #DoubleTheMeal campaign is to promote the role of tech for good in society, help build student coding skills in a fun and engaging way, and provide meals to needy children around the world via WFP’s #ShareTheMeal program.

The IBM campaign will provide four meals to underserved children during this holiday season for every student completing Level 1 of our enterprise computing coding challenge. Register for MasterTheMainframe today – no coding experience necessary. Just one hour of time helps students advance their tech skills while fighting world hunger.

We are backing WFP’s decade of actions to support the world’s children. Join us by participating in MasterTheMainframe, feed four children, and put your #Tech4Good passion to work.”
