The year is just flying by! Don't waste another second you could be using to up-skill with all things IBM zSystems at the upcoming IBM zSkills Fest! This month long skill building initiative will allow you to push forward with earning your industry recognized IBM Z Xplore badges all while learning the power of advocacy, connecting you directly with IBMers and SO MUCH MORE!
The festival will kick off with an exclusive test floor walkthrough by the legendary PJ Catalano. Later on in the first week, you'll learn exactly how these IBM zSystems fit into our IT ecosystems and why you should never stop learning these crucial skills. The first week will conclude with an open office hour session to ensure you can earn your IBM Z Xplore Concepts badge if you have not already.
Week two will start out with a BANG! Learn the importance of your online personal brand from IBM public relations experts as they make over the online presence of one of our IBM zSystems Student Ambassadors! The advocacy focused week two doesn't lighten up there as we air a discussion of what advocacy can do for your career with the Built By Advocacy panel discussion!
You'll need to have earned your IBM Z Xplore Concepts badge by the beginning of Week 3 to keep letting the good times roll! Concepts badge earners will be invited to sign up for Career Chats with IBMers. Two IBMers will link up with up to four badge earners to discuss how they got to where they are, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and grow your network!
The fun just keeps building into week 4! On July 31st, we will kick off the first ever IBM Z Xplore virtual Code-a-Thon! This exclusive challenge will task you with diving deeper into using python on the mainframe to create a web interface to a z/OS application and utilize data from IoT devices.
Not enough opportunity for you? If you complete your IBM Z Xplore Concepts badge AND the Z Xplore virtual Code a Thon you will get an invitation to a fire side chat with an IBM executive where you may have the privileged opportunity to ask questions of them and learn how they got where they are!
