Large message support for 64-bit IBM MQ queues provides support for messages as large as 100 MB.
As message sizes continue to increase, the current IBM MQ maximum message size of 4 MB can be a limiting factor for z/TPF applications. With APAR PJ48036, 64-bit IBM MQ queues on z/TPF can send and receive messages as large as 100 MB, which eliminates this limitation. Message sizes that exceed 4 MB are supported only for 64-bit IBM MQ memory queues.
In addition to large message support for 64-bit IBM MQ queues, the following improvements were also made:
- Updates to 64-bit MQ internals for improved cleanup of checkpoint and sweeper 4 KB pool records.
- Support to reset queue statistics by using the ZMQSC DISPLAY command with the QL and STATRESET parameters specified.
- Enhanced queue manager display with enhanced IBM MQ statistics.
