The project involved extracting 30 data points from Systematics, feeding them into an IBM AI tool, and using a Random Forest Algorithm to generate precise risk scores. The AI-driven OD Risk Score allows banks to make better overdraft authorization decisions, reducing charge-offs while maximizing overdraft fee revenue, allowing more accurate and efficient assessment of customer risk, all through the AI-driven tool. Another challenge in some mainframe development environments is the loss of skills and knowledge of the code base due to retirement of key personnel. In addition to the ongoing onboarding and training efforts by FIS, critical Gen AI tools like IBM Watson X Code Assistant on IBM z17 allows for new team members to analyze, document and update their existing code to the latest versions of COBOL while identifying and remediating unused and underused code sections.
