Open Enterprise Foundation provides essential open source software aligning with UNIX to enable DevOps and platform modernization. 

Open Enterprise Foundation for z/OS offers a comprehensive suite of open source UNIX-based development tools, including: 
 

  • Git for source control
  • GNU Bash for a command-line shell environment 
  • Curl for transferring data over the network 
  • GNU Make for automating the software build process 
  • Perl for scripting and text processing capabilities 
  • Vim for a text editing environment 
  • Ncurses for navigating and viewing text files 
  • Less for navigating and viewing text files

The support is available at no charge under the continuous delivery support model.
