With this major release, IBM ADDI brings many new and upgraded capabilities that help developers rapidly discover the application relationships and understand the impact of changes with more agility. At a glance: IBM ADDI new features and enhancements
- IBM Wazi Analyze, a containerized component that brings rapid analysis capability to developers to help them discover the relationships between the components of their z/OS applications and to understand the impact of potential changes. It provides a graphical visualization of COBOL application artifact dependencies in a web user interface. See more.
- An API to enable developers to start the usage analysis without the need of Analyze Client. This API shows the relationships among the programs and exposes that information in JSON format.
- Check command added to the Application Discovery and Delivery Intelligence CLI list, enabling the administrator to validate multiple projects in an automated fashion.
- Annotations added at the project level to enable users to share knowledge across the Application Discovery and Delivery Intelligence environment.
- Enhanced Assembler Macro support to parse and resolve multilevel dynamic Assembler Macro calls (without the interpretation of the logical expression).
- Improved configuration experience by adding the IBM Authentication Server (DEX) configuration process to the dashboard. See more.

Understanding the impact of changes with IBM Wazi AnalyzeAnticipating the potential impact of changes and reducing the risks before they actually happen could be essential for increasing the productivity and agility of developers. Developers need to do rapid scans for analysis of an application and assess the impact of changes. This is where IBM Wazi Analyze comes in.
Starting with IBM ADDI V6.0.0, Wazi Analyze is available as a containerized component that helps you understand the impact of programs and files changes through graphical analysis. With this web-based and pre-installed application that is delivered in a Docker container, you can rapidly scan your source files and view the impact analysis through an easy-to-use web user interface.
For this release, Wazi Analyze supports the following types of impact analysis.
- Program call references that display the call relationship between COBOL programs.
- Source file references that display the relationship between COBOL files and COBOL included files.
