About a year ago, the TPF lab announced that we were delivering a set of APARs dedicated to making our language more inclusive. With guidance from the IBM Words Matter Terminology Review Board, we identified IT terms in our code, code commentary, and content that might be racially or culturally biased. The terminology changes were delivered through a set of APARs and updates to the z/TPF space in IBM Documentation.
Since then, more discriminatory terms have been identified as part of the process to eliminate bias in IT terminology. We reviewed our use of those terms and included changes to code and code commentary in APAR PJ46723 (Inclusive language: z/TPF product changes).
