On October 20th, the latest Ubuntu release, 22.10 (Kinetic Kudu) was released, and in keeping with all Ubuntu releases since 2016, this one is supported in Linux on IBM zSystems and LinuxONE. As with the previous release, 22.04, this version contains support for the IBM z16 and LinuxONE Emperor 4, released this year. It contains various updated software libraries and a new kernel, a new version of s390-tools, enhancements to Secure Execution, and more. Finally, you may also hear from Frank at the recent IBM zDay 2022 which took place on September 15th in the IBM LinuxONE track.
