Ubuntu 22.10 released for IBM zSystems and LinuxONE

  

On October 20th, the latest Ubuntu release, 22.10 (Kinetic Kudu) was released, and in keeping with all Ubuntu releases since 2016, this one is supported in Linux on IBM zSystems and LinuxONE. As with the previous release, 22.04, this version contains support for the IBM z16 and LinuxONE Emperor 4, released this year. It contains various updated software libraries and a new kernel, a new version of s390-tools, enhancements to Secure Execution, and more. In the session "Working With and Securing Your Data with An Open Ecosystem on LinuxONE" he met with the Open Mainframe Project's John Mertic to discuss the open ecosystem within which both the projects exist and thrive.
