IBM Z NetView plugin-ins for Zowe Command Line Interface (CLI) are now available.
These plug-ins allow NetView users (Administrators, Operators and Z Program Developers) to perform NetView operations leveraging the REST APIs available with the NetView REST Server in a familiar, off-platform manner from a command shell running in their client PC.
NetView provides three plug-ins to allow you to select which capabilities you want to use: a base plug-in that collects the commands to access core NetView information, as well as issue most NetView commands (znetview-base); an automation plug-in that collects the commands to manage automation table members (znetview-automation) and a network plug-in that collects the commands to monitor your network (znetview-network).
The base plugin (znetview-base), that is a prerequisite for the other two NetView plug-ins available, collects commands to:
- authenticate to NetView REST Server
- retrieve Canzlog messages, task utilization and NetView domains information
- record a message from Canzlog
- issue NetView command
The automation plug-in (znetview-automation) collects the commands to manage automation table statements, like:
- Activate an automation table
- Download automation table statement(s)
- List automation table statistics
- Run a simulated automation table test for a Canzlog message
- Upload an automation table statement
- Activate an automation table
The network plugin (znetview-network) collects the command to retrieve distributed DVIPA (DDVIPA) health information and statistics
