Learn hands-on DevOps with IBM Z "DevOps from the Trenches" video series

Product demo videos demonstrate the product's key features and usage. They can not only provide hands-on instructions to existing users, but also help establish credibility and expectation for potential clients.

IBM developers and technical specialists have been producing videos by themselves to demonstrate product features to clients. However, videos scattered on YouTube can be hard to find and thus lack public visibility.

"DevOps from the Trenches" is a video series focused on practical demo videos from 3 to 10 minutes. The aim is to collect and share short demo videos from DevOps developers and users, making them easy to reproduce and easy to find. We’ve also added intro animations and background music to provide a consistent brand image.

The first two videos introduce how to create a z/OS development and test environment in IBM Cloud by using IBM Wazi as a Service (Wazi aaS), as well as the end-to-end development scenario of implementing a change request for a COBOL application. We also walk you through the installation process of IBM Virtual Dev and Test for z/OS (ZVDT) step by step.

Users and potential customers can go through these videos to have a better idea of the product use cases and follow the instructions to install and configure the products.

The "DevOps from the Trenches" series now features the following videos:
