A Public Free On-Demand z/OSMF System

  

The IBM z/OS® Management Facility (z/OSMF) trial system is:

  • No charge, on-demand environment: At zero cost and with short lead time, trying out the z/OSMF function is now easier than ever.
  • No set up, no install: z/OSMF trial environments are pre-configured, and ready for use, no setup and configuration is required.
  • Hands-on tutorials: Short, easy-to-follow walkthroughs are included, so you’ll experience z/OSMF at its best in no time.

You can follow the steps below to use the z/OSMF trial system.


1. Open IBM z/OSMF trial system registration page.

2. In the IBM z/OSMF trial system registration page, input your account info and press the "Continue" button.

3: You will receive a mail including the Userid/Password and z/OSMF trial system info for you to login.

4: Login the z/OSMF trial system following the steps in the mail and the trial system will be available for 3 days.

5: Input the Username and Password then press “Sign in” button, after login the trial system, you will see the z/OSMF trial program main panel as below.

The z/OSMF trial system includes hands-on tutorials that explain how to:

  • Create a workflow definition file by using the z/OSMF Workflow Editor.
  • Interact with a workflow by using the z/OSMF Workflow task.
  • Submit a job from a dataset programmatically by using the z/OSMF RESTful APIs.
  • Gather diagnostic data automatically and send it to a vendor (IBM or ISV) by using the z/OSMF Incident Log task.
  • Issue system commands and view system messages by using z/OS operator console task.
  • Create/Modify/Delete a dashboard with the z/OSMF Resource Monitoring.
