My name is Andrew Livingstone, Jr., from West Africa, Liberia. I’m an emerging computer science engineer and a Youth Delegate at YOUNGA 2021.
My experience with technology dates back to 2009 where I started learning how to operates a computer and was later on motivated by my foster parent with whom I learned to do my very first computer-related activity.
My foster mom was a desktop publishing practitioner, who supported to the fullest many students, professionals, and freelancers across and within universities, colleges, and high schools. At this time, the computer field was a fresh and new field that many Liberians voided, particularly youths. Because of my early engagement with computers, I developed a passion for it and decided to dive more into tech. Because of financial instability, I got enrolled in most tech tutorials online such as W3Schools, TutorialPoint, SoloLearn, and etc. to forward my career of becoming an IT Specialist. I am privileged to have been one of the philanthropists in the Liberian tech field. Gaining new skills in computer science has landed me few roles as a Desktop Publisher, Graphic Designer, and Front-end Web Developer, and certainly a Software engineer.
Many thanks to the IBMZ Community for affording me the opportunity to share my experience on Tech.
