Last week I successfully ran an event promoting the IBM zSystems club at my campus!
I was very excited to see people interested and join my discord server where I will share and promote more IBM mainframe and enterprise computing information on my campus. In the discord server, I plan to share and work on the IBM zXplore platform with my club members and I hope my club members will join the IBM zStudent Contest! I would have to say my biggest takeaway would be that public speaking isn't as hard as I thought it would be, but planning for an event takes much more active effort in order to bring in people who are interested. During this event, I made a brief presentation explaining what IBM zsystems is, what IBM's mainframe is and its impact, as well as what the zXplore platform is all about. I was happy to see that about 10-15 people attended my in person event.
