*** With closure of IBM Developerworks, the GWLM community site is no longer available. Making last GWLM update available here for download until alternative arrangements are created. The IBM Graphical Workload Management Tool, informally referred to as the GWLM tool, is provided as-is for use by the general public to help explore and configure the workload management capabilities in the IBM DB2 for Linux, Unix, and Windows product.
This tool represents a proof-of-concept implementation intended to explore the possibilities of a graphical interface for workload management in the IBM DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows (DB2 LUW) product versions 9.5 and above.
It is being released by the authors for general use as we believe it already provides significant value to DB2 customers even in its current form and we are interested in receiving feedback on the concept from “real world” usage.
This tool is not an official IBM product nor does it represent any commitment by IBM to actually implement or provide a product such as this to the general public at a later date.
The GWLM tool was written using Adobe Flex and runs under the Adobe Air infrastructure (http://get.adobe.com/air/). You will need to download and install Adobe Air in order to use this tool. You will also need Java installed for it to work.
In this version, we also introduced PDF creation by leveraging the AlivePDF open source library to provide this function (http://alivepdf.bytearray.org/).
We hope you find the tool useful and we welcome feedback:
