This looks like a mutual takeover config but the PowerHA smart assist looks like it's not detecting that so we are configuring like two separate RG with their own File Systems ...

Hi Glen. Question: is the replication executed at storage subystem level ?? Or OS level ?? I would do the replica using the storage subsystem facilities, with the VG in offline mode, then in testing time i would varyonvg the VG. i think some problems might arise when mounting the FS. HTH

My first setup in the Site 1 was very basic in fact i didn't specify a list of servers so i think the NSD was somehow SAN connected ..... Then i change the NSD config ...

Hi That behavior of freezing, i have seen it with servers running out of real memory and doing lots of swap in/out, also with Informix Servers with bad configurations of Async I/O parameters. You need to look for more info in the appl logs or a given parameter in the MUMPS server configuration. ...

Ok Thanks. Valid point. In fact one of the things we always keep documented is that relationship between the hdisk device, the name of the alias for Oracle (for example /dev/asmdiskXXX) and the major and minor numbers. We also use the lkdev command in order to lock the device to help avoiding a rmdev ...
