  • 1.  New location for CSDK / JDBC files, correct URL for Trials and Downloads

    Posted Tue October 25, 2022 10:09 AM
As covered in the recent FC8 webcast, the Informix Trials and Downloads site has become the comprehensive repository for CSDK and JDBC drivers. All available 4.10 and 4.50 drivers are now located there along with the Developer Edition and Time Limited engine downloads.

In some cases, customers are having troubles accessing the Trials and Download site. Once logged in, they get an error that says "Oops something went wrong." This is due to an erroneous parameter included in the URL used.  The correct URL to access the Trials and Downloads for all files is:

    https://www.ibm.com/resources/mrs/assets?source=ifxids&lang=en_US

If you have any further questions or issues, don't hesitate to reach out to Scott or me.

    Thank you Carlton.

This post is timely for me as I was looking for the latest CSDK this week and noticed that CSDK 4.50.xC5 and JDBC 4.50.JC5 are the still the latest releases available on the T&D site, as has been the case for some considerable time. Checking again today, this is still true.

However, the documentation indicates that we are up to CSDK 4.50.xC9 now: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/informix-servers/14.10?topic=sdk-450xc9

I have temporarily lost my PA access so I can't check there.

    Ben.

You are not the only one looking for these and other drivers. I did my part to get the files uploaded and positioned to be published. Unfortunately there is another team that has to push the button to make the files visible. I've asked why there is a delay but have not heard back.  I'm sorry for the delay.

Try looking now. They should all be available including some "lost" editions and drivers that were recovered during a comprehensive review yesterday.

I saw JC6, JC7 and JC8 there yesterday, but the platform was listed as "Multiplatform" rather than "Java". Still is for those releases. Today JC9 also appears there, under the "Java" platform.
