Not able to add pureScale connection profile to Data Management Console 3.1.3

    Hi all,

    I am trying to add a pureScale database connection profile to Data management Console 3.1.3, but it fails with "An internal error has occurred", no other information is given. If I add the database without selecting the "Initialize pureScale" checkbox, a new profile is created.

    Also, I cannot find in the API documentation a way to add a pureScale connection profile through the API.

    Data Management Console is running on RHEL7.9 and the repository database is Db2 v11.5.4.0. It was installed when DMC version was 3.1.1 and then upgraded to 3.1.2 and now to 3.1.3.

    Has anyone added a pureScale type connection successfully yet?

    Thanks Petri reporting this issue. May you pls open a ticket to DMC and upload log file as well? It will help us to investigate.

    Hi Su. I did create a ticket before coming to this board :) I also tried with a fresh install and a fresh repository, but to no avail. I can actually add the database that is in the purescale cluster if I leave out the monitoring and operational credentials. This works during the initial setup only, though. Later on adding a connection profile without any credentials fails with "cannot use a password of 0 length". I also found a way to do this via the API, even if it was not documented, but the same issue is there as well. I don't know how a purescale connection profile should look like, but mine looked like five separate connections for a cluster of four members. The member the connection was initiated on was added twice.

    The API endpoint seems to be dbapi/v4/dbprofiles/purescale/group and it takes a list of connections as its payload.

    Documenting this properly would help a lot.
