    Hi team,

could you please fix dmctop so it can be run on terminals using ISO-8859-1 translation.
All the previous monitors, db2top, dsmtop and other tools like nmon run on terminals with ISO-8859-1 and we don't want to constantly change the translation on the terminal just to run dmctop.

    Thanks

    Hi Su Li,

I just installed dmctop V1.0.3 on AIX and the code page issue still persists, and on Linux I can't even get it running and get: cannot execute binary file.

    Regards
    Sven

    Hi Sven,

For Linux version, we updated the binary on Db2 download center and Fix central. Please let us know if you still face the issue.

For the ISO-8859-1 character set issue, can you please provide more details on it? any screenshot would be appreciated.  Are you using Putty to connect to server? If yes,  please make sure the character settings in Putty and server is the same.

If you are not using Putty, can you please check the locale of your server. Our testing server with AIX 7.2 is en_US.ISO8859-1 and it can run the tool without any issue, so please do let us know the environment and how you change this settings between other monitoring tools and dmctop.  Thank you!

Thanks for the patience and feedback. We are targeting to fix this issue permanently in this release and want users to have a smooth experience to use the tool.

    Regards,

    Hi Sven,

Thanks for the feedback. We are working on this issue. It may take some time since dmctop heavily depends on tview and tcell which are the open source projects. Will keep you posted once the fix is done. Thanks.
