    Hi All,
    I would like to provide Informix technical training to my team.
    Are there any Informix 14.10 training materials?
    I have 12.10 version of Bootcamp Presentations but I want to train with the latest version.

    Hello friends.
    Some time ago we had Informix in a box, used on Informix On Campus.
     
    They had a very good material for a course. But seems after Developerworks migration, all went away (I cannot find it anymore).

    Maybe somebody from IBM might know where it is...?

    You should be aware that Lester Knutsen and I do training for Informix DBAs and developers. The courses can be taught on-site at your facilities, on-site at Advanced Datatools' Training Center, or remotely over the internet. You can contract for training classes through my company (www.askdbmgt.com) or Lester's (www.advancedatatools.com).

    Lester has a basic Informix for DBAs class scheduled for May 18-21 and an 

    Advanced Informix Performance Tuning Course scheduled for July 13-16. If you have several people who need training we can customize a course for you or schedule a private class for one of the standard courses.

    I would like to visit Advanced Datatools' Training Center if possible :)
    Even though training is possible remotely through the Internet, it is difficult for employees of our company to attend training during working hours due to the different time zones in Korea and the United States.

    We have often scheduled group training for remote attendees around the world on their local time. We have done that for trainees in Malaysia and New Zealand before. As long as you have a number of attendees we will schedule a private class for you. 

    Of course if you can make the trip with some of your team to the US to ADTC's training center, that is ideal because of the lack of distractions.

    Either way, reach out to me or Lester privately. Both of our emails are well known or you can ping either of us through our web sites.

    Using our virtual training system of WebEx, ssh, and VOIP, as Art mentioned, we have taught classes around the world.   All our classes have been upgraded to 14.10. I recently taught an Advanced Informix Performance Tuning class for a group in India using our virtual training system running from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm their local time.

    Upgrading to #Informix 14.10? We have the training for you. I will be teaching our next Informix DBA Class, Informix for Database Administrators upgraded for Informix version 14.10, on May 18-21, 2020.

    There are a few companies that deliver training for you, non of us would
    had over our courses for free :-)

    You could develop your own but probably not a cost effective solution
    unless you are intending to deliver multiple courses

    Hi Paul,

    My company provides Informix technical support to Korean customers, and I would like to train Informix to technical support engineers who do not support Informix (such as Db2).
    In the past, Bootcamp was held in IBM Korea, but not now. So we need to study ourselves with the previous Bootcamp material.

    Art's proposition about the Advanced Data Tools training is at the moment the best you can have. IBM has not done any effort during last years on updating the training material, leaving a very unnice gap for anyone wanting to learn about current functionality. 

    Nevertheless, and in those conditions, another excellent way of getting the taste of the new Informix functionality  is to look at the IIUG Conference website, where we have gathered virtually all the technical presentations done in the conference since 2008.

    You can find this material in the IIUG Conference website: http://iiugworld.iiug.dyndns.org/previous.php. Click on 'session slides'. You find there very rich material provided by the best specialist, including Informix R&D

    By the way, is anyone interested in having a search functionality in the overall sessions slides ? The material contained in the sessions is so huge that it would not be bad to have a good search functionality on it

    I have already received all IIUG conference materials. (Except 2014)
    In my case, I have uploaded IIUG presentations to Google Drive. You can search by keyword of the contents of the uploaded file.
    Perhaps other cloud services will provide the same functionality.
