DB2 z/OS - How to monitor SQLs running against database ?

  • 1.  DB2 z/OS - How to monitor SQLs running against database ?

    Hello,

I am not sure if this is correct group to ask a question about DB2 z/OS.

We have a .NET application that uses dynamic SQL running throught DB2 Connect to access DB2 z/OS on a mainframe. Recently we are seeing more CPU usage by the application. Is there a way to capture queries that are running  and related CPU usage?

    Thanks,
    Vithal

There are a number of monitoring programs that might be being used on the z/OS system - IBM's Omegamon, Brocade's (was CA) Sysview performance for Db2 (used to be known as Insight), BMC's Apptune and Mainview .  Talk  to the Db2 for z/OS system programmer to find out what they have.
Generally DB2-L is where most of the Db2 for z/OS people hang out -  https://www.idug.org/ , Forums, DB2-L.  But any 'DB2' forum should could have cross skilled folks.
