    Hi Guy,

Have you tried adjusting package cache settings under Monitoring Profile to see if that would allow to capture more statements?

    Hi  @Guy Przytula

Please check if you have the MON_*** db-cfg parameters set correctly for this target db.  Otherwise the mon_get_*** tablefunctions are executed, but return no data.

    thanks for the update

yes, I adapted the settings according the page in infocenter of dmc : same result

we  never had this problem with dsm. later we changed to dmc, but as we were facing so many problems/bugs, we returned back to dsm

now that a new fp was available, I tested again dmc instead of dsm and again.. many problems..

this problem has already been discussed on a case with ibm, and I was requested to execute the sql they execute to get the package cache. this is returned immediatly..

could they not have copied functions from dsm to dmc ?

I think we again will return to dsm..  and hope to have a stable version in some years, before the out of support of dsm

    Hi Guy

Happy Christmas firstly~ May you let me know the case  # you mentioned above that is related to the package cache problem? If the SQL can be returned quickly, then the problem may related to repository or UI logic. I would like to connect with the dev owner to take further look of the issue.

@Guy Przytula  Merry Christmas!  Thanks for sharing the issue you met in DMC.   There might be couple of reasons which cause no data returned in this page. Please help check below list and let us know if more information needed.

    1.  Confirm whether the monitored db is active and connected by DMC.   Go to Administration- Connection profile - select the target db name - click "Edit"  - click "Test connection"

    test connection

    2. Confirm whether the target db is monitored by DMC.    In DMC homepage,  there is summary of databases in "Available", "Disconnected"  and "Not monitored" .  Confirm the target db is not in "Not monitored" category.

    3.  Is there some queries running at the time you selecting monitor-statement- package cache?    You can select monitor - statement - Inflight executions to check whether there is some queries running.

    4.  Please click the "show system" button in monitor-statement- package cache and monitor - statement - Inflight executions  to display queries executed by DMC monitor.    DMC issues queries to get monitor data from the target db in every time interval (for example 5min) which is called "system queries".  DMC hides these "system queries" by default.   You can display system queries in this way even you don't have any workload running on the target db.   This is a simple way to tell whether DMC monitor works or not.   If "show system" returns value, so DMC monitor is working.  If "show system" doesn't return value,  then the target db might be either disconnected or not monitored by DMC.

    click

yes, there are always queries running - this is a prod system

we already executed manually the queries to get the package cache and immediately get answer

it already happened in previous version...

    Hi  @Guy Przytula

Can you open a pmr and upload the log files ? The log files should be in the /logs folder of the DMC installation directory, please upload those logs with the name monitor.*, thanks.
