Db2

    Hello,

We have the DMC console installed to monitor the performance of DB2 databases and we usually have timeouts when monitoring several of them (they are always the same databases)

Is there a way to set the timeout of the queries that are executed from DMC?

    Thank you

    Hi Miguel,

This is an known issue also reported in community earlier:
    https://community.ibm.com/community/user/hybriddatamanagement/communities/community-home/digestviewer/viewthread?MessageKey=34b26a95-ed1a-4a19-aa47-88c86ac357f4&CommunityKey=e1f1cc2c-065f-4152-bef7-3641a384c9e1&tab=digestviewer#bm34b26a95-ed1a-4a19-aa47-88c86ac357f4

The problem is being tracked in DMC.

Did you know any locking issues when this problem occurs?

    Hello Jason,

I had already seen the thread / case you indicate ... but I have not seen a solution (at least at this moment)

When this error occurs, we have not detected blocking activity in the target databases ... the timeout simply occurs, since it is not even reported that a query is causing it.

    Hi Miguel,

Thank you for the extra information you provided.

I went back to our internal system to search for "Query timed out. ERRORCODE=-4499, SQLSTATE=08001" in logs directory, I saw 2 matching entries in my test system.  But, the reason for the 2 occasions were related to Db2 is being recycled at the moment when I inspected the db2diag.log.  I don't think the occurrence is same as the scenario you are describing (which appears to happen quite often).

If possible, can you open a salesforce case, so that we can obtain Console and Db2 logs for further analysis?  Thanks in advance.
