Why do IBM and HCL keep hiding the CSDK download? It used to be less of a big deal because it was bundled with the engine. Now it no longer is, and the only stuff available on Passport Advantage is 4.10 and older or the Windows versions of 4.50. When I try to download via the iiug.org link, it gets about two click in before webroot declares that I'm being redirected to a phishing site.
I should just be able to get it through PA like everything else, or via FixCentral if that fails.
It's billed as a "trial" but there's no expiration to it and the CSDK is free anyway. Just scroll down to the "Client Software Development Kit" box and click on the "Try free edition" link there.
Art: That's the one that webroot complained about maybe two clicks in. This time it worked, but I still had to play 20 questions as if I'm a prospective customer. I'm an existing customer, and I should be able to easily download the product without jumping through all those hoops!
I'll make no comments on how difficult it to find something in an IBM website ��

Those URL had been provided by Milind a few years ago and they kept working fine since then (including now)
Eric: The point is that making customers jump through unnecessary hoops – especially ones that treat them like they're not customers – is a good way to lose customers.
I got the point: seems that IBM has been doing whatever what in their power to lose their Informix customers since 2001 and piss them off.
They day IBM will realize that customers are also human beings and that talking to them can also contribute to their revenue, we'll make some progress.But I lost hope that this will happen anyday

The point is, there should be one-stop shopping. Give me ONE PLACE I can go to download ALL of the products to which I am entitled. And don't make me download trial versions of products I'm licensed to use. Don't make me pretend to be a prospect (and answer the same series of prospect questions every time a new version comes out) when I've been a paying customer for decades.
