I finally got time to look into loading Innovator-C Edition on a server and get InformixHQ up and running. Took a month to get some free time.

I went to IBM site and logged in and selected Innovator-C Edition, then filled out the form and got the download page. Downloaded Innovator-C Edition for version 14 and was puzzled as is only about 12MB in size. I think one of the pages getting to the download or maybe read somewhere else that thee a new installer, so was puzzled but unzipped the file and read the README.

The command is says toe run is this:
    $INFORMIXDIR/jvm/jre/bin/java -jar ee_edition.jar -i
    #Informix

    John:

What you downloaded was the Innovator-C license pack. The v14.10 installer installs the same binaries that are used for all "Editions" only the license packs are different (which means you don't have to reinstall to change Editions, just install the new license and restart the server).

So, download the Installer for "Developer Edition" that is the file that you need. If you have already installed the license pack, you are good. Get the DE installer and install it, it should recognize the installed license pack and when you start up a server it should come online as Innovator-C (IE).
