    Hi,

Does anyone know about PDF version of the manual?
If there is any intention from IBM/HCL to release or we will be forced to stay online to check the Informix documentation?
I miss a lot the old and good PDFs library, mainly know were I focused to prepare our production to migrade from 12.10 to 14.10 .

I like the IBM Knowledge Center and HCL documentation (old ibm style), but is painful when we need to search or read some section in sequence. Have many individual pages.
BTW , the link to download PDF from IBM Knowledge Center not working for a long time... and when they've worked, the PDF was only for the current session, not the complete manual.

Here is my vote for the back of PDF manuals versions.

    Regards
    Cesar

    Cesar:

The PDF docs have not been updated since version 12.10.FC7.

As far as I am aware, neither IBM nor HCL have any immediate plans to bring out full manuals for v14.10 nor to update the v12.10 manuals that are available. There is, I believe, an RFE to have the manuals maintained. You can add your vote to that and help push it along.

    Hi Art,

    RFE?? really?  ouch!
In this case what means? Request Feature Expired ???  :D
RFE I always considered for things that don't exist, not what exists and was abandoned... :,(

Anyway, I look for and found only this: https://ibm-data-and-ai.ideas.ibm.com/ideas/ISP-I-105
Who still consider PDF versions of the manual useful, please vote!

Nope, that's not it. That's for IBM Information Server, different product. Hmm, doesn't look like there is one. Creating one now. Everyone who wants manuals that you can keep in your laptop for use offline, and for easier reading should vote for this RFE.

IBM encouraged the teams that used to produce the PDF copies "to find employment elsewhere."  AFAIK, no IBM products have PDF docs anymore, just web access. Scott and I (along with others) argued that we still need PDF in case the web servers are not available (which has happened) or a customer doesn't have network access due to air gap in the data center etc. However, . . . . . . Sorry.
