Using HQ ?

    Hi to All

    Can we use Informix HQ on production without testing ? what precautions should we take ?

    I am not aware of any incidence of negative impact from running the HQ agent on production. I would run the HQ server and repository on a separate machine though. You can use an Innovator-C free Edition for the repository.

    HQ is not yet a mature product, but it already brings a lot of advantages. As Art says, you better install it on a separate small server and build your repository on Innovator-C if you want to spare license.

     

    I installed it at 2 customers in prod and had no stability issues for now.
