    Hi there,

It seems to me the online documents of IIAS do not include any information about the new unified console, which is talked about somewhere else. So, what is it and in which versions of IIAS it is available?

    Thanks,
    Daniel

Thank you for posting your questions. "Unified Console" is an IBM internal project codename that covers all of the Db2 common SQL engine data servers including IIAS. This is not a completely new console but an evolution and integration across the existing on premises and on cloud offerings. Some of the key characteristics, already available in IIAS, like the Home Page with customizable monitoring widgets are becoming a core part of the common Db2 Management Consoles in 2019.

I will be presenting at Think in February more details on the overall roadmap and rollout over the course of 2019. The key benefits to this evolution of our current consoles is a common experience, more modular deployment of services, an API REStful services based open architecture and a simple or transparent upgrade from your existing consoles.

Thank you Peter for your response!

Could you please specify what will this product/strategy unify? To unify some existing things at IBM to be one, or, include some popular things available on the market as well?

    Thanks,
    Daniel
