  • 1.  db2icrt dumps loads of error messages instead of help

    Under Windows 10 the command "db2icrt -? " dumps many strings "Unable to fetch help message" and "db2icrt -h" is also complaining.

    C:\Program Files\IBM\SQLLIB\BIN>db2icrt -h
    Message Library is not available
    no valid hostname
    C:\Program Files\IBM\SQLLIB\BIN>

     

    It was a default install of Db2 11.1.4.4

    C:\Program Files\IBM\SQLLIB\BIN>db2level
    DB21085I  This instance or install (instance name, where applicable: "DB2")
    uses "64" bits and DB2 code release "SQL11014" with level identifier
    "0205010F".
    Informational tokens are "DB2 v11.1.4040.371", "s1807120100",
    "DYN1807120100WIN64", and Fix Pack "4".
    Product is installed at "C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\SQLLIB" with DB2 Copy Name "DB2COPY1".

    There is an RFE opened for this, a defect is opened for the code as well so we improve the help menus. We're aware of this and we'll try to get it into the code in upcoming fixpaks.
