    Hello DMC Support Team,

Running dmctop (dmctop-v1-0-3-1) from AIX, dmctop won't work and stops with a core dump.
    [/db2/db2ecp]> dmctop
    Illegal instruction(coredump)

    ls -ltr
    -rw-r--r-- 1 db2ecp dbecpadm 23952043 Sep 13 12:45 core

    Environment:
    AIX 7200-05-02-2114
    Db2 11.5.6.0

Any tips or hints to solve the problem?

    Best regards,
    Joachim

    Hi @Joachim Müller,

Thank you for the information. We will investigate this on the said version of AIX (7200-05-02-2114) and revert back to you.

    Hello @Joachim Müller,

I tested our dmctop on the same environment (AIX 7200-05-02-2114, Db2 11.5.6.0) and it worked fine. I wonder what kind of processor are you using. Currently dmctop only support power > 7. (You can use `prtconf` to check)

    Thank you

    Indeed. it's the wrong mode:

    System Model: IBM,9009-42A
    Machine Serial Number: 7894EB0
    Processor Type: PowerPC_POWER9
    Processor Implementation Mode: POWER 7
    Processor Version: PV_7_Compat

    Thanks a lot

    Best regards,
    Joachim
