DB2ZAI 1.4.0 delivers significant new business value along with an improved user experience. New features include:

  • A new SQL optimization benefits dashboard, which showcases the progress that Db2ZAI has made toward learning your SQL workload, the benefits provided by Db2ZAI to your workload, and actions that you need to perform.
  • The SQL optimization dashboard identifies the top CPU consuming SQL statements and allows you to drill down to statement-level details.
  • New smarter insights for System Assessment exceptions, including correlation of system exceptions with SQL statement activity. This feature takes advantage of data provided by vendor tools, such as Query Monitor.
  • The ability to easily drill down into system exceptions to see SQL activity and to identify SQL statements that were involved in the exception.
  • Enhanced usability of System Assessment features, including the overlaying of work periods on system exception plots, along with key metric thresholds. This enhancement makes it easy to understand which workloads were involved with the exception.
  • For Distributed Connection Control, the ability to set alerts for warning exceptions only, and then warnings and exceptions once threshold settings have been verified. In general, this new ability helps you to fine-tune your DCC settings.
  • Another new Distributed Connection Control feature provides the ability to tag IP address descriptions, making it easier to identify the source of incoming traffic.
  • Long-term trend analysis for Distributed Connection Control.
  • The ability to retrain existing Distributed Connection Control training IDs and profile IDs in order to adjust profile recommendations.
  • A simplified installation experience, as it is no longer necessary to install and configure Anaconda for Db2ZAI. Also, there is no longer a need to separately install Node.js, as this is now included with the WMLz 2.3.0 installation.

We hope that you explore the new capabilities of Db2ZAI 1.4.0 and what it can do for your business!
