Update: See our follow-on blog entry for information about how to preview IBM Documentation.

A wise person once said "the only constant is change," and it is perhaps more true in technology than any other industry. With that in mind, the Db2 for z/OS Information Development team wants to let you know about some upcoming changes to the IBM Knowledge Center.

IBM is significantly redesigning IBM Knowledge Center to introduce a new look and feel, new product home pages, and a new navigation experience. Along with these changes comes a new name—IBM Knowledge Center will become IBM Documentation. All IBM products that currently deliver their documentation in IBM Knowledge Center will use the new design.

We're working hard to optimize the Db2 for z/OS documentation content for the new features in IBM Documentation, but rest assured that all existing content for Db2 for z/OS will be included in IBM Documentation from day one. It will be available through search and from the table of contents, and you'll still be able to download the manuals in PDF format if that's your thing.

We're still working to understand the new design guidelines and how they affect the online product documentation for Db2 for z/OS, so we don't have anything to show you yet. However, we don't want this change to catch you by surprise. We'll provide you with more concrete details as they become available. Stay tuned to this blog for future updates.
