So it is live and US FIs really should have already conducted thorough assessments of their AI use cases, established robust governance frameworks, enhanced documentation and testing processes, and set up solutions for monitoring in alignment with still evolving guidance from EU regulators... yesterday!  While most of NY Wall Street seems to be a fluttering (suddenly) about transparency and explainability - really?  The more urgent issue is to focus first on compliance requirements for high-risk AI systems and we as banks have lots of them. Map against the Risk and Governance frameworks that @David Kliemann and team have already done and risk assess anything that might be classified as "high-risk" under the Act.
