  • 1.  VPC Subcapacity showing no data

    ILMT 9.2.30.0 installed, part number has been imported and software classification completed but Dashboard shows No Data for VPC Subscapticty.  IBM Business Automation Workflow Enterprise

    Hi,

    In order to see a product in VPC reports the following conditions must be met:

    1) a component needs to be discovered during a software scan - check "Reports > Software Installations" view;

    2) the component discovered needs to be assigned to a product with VPC metric;


    3) the relation between the component discovered and VPC product needs to be "chargeable", so contributing to calculations (some components may be free with a certain offering);

    4) the report analysed needs to cover dates when the component was being present in inventory.

    In order to avoid unexpected results open ILMT UI and go to "Reports > Software Classification" panel.

    There, click on "Configure View" and add the following columns:

    Charged

    Always Not Charged

    Suppressed

    Discovery Start

    Discovery End

    Present

    Metric

    IBM-provided Bundling Option

    Confirmed

    Excluded

    Click "Submit" to enable the change. Review your software inventory checking discovery dates and relation types between components and products.

    Thank you.  I had confirmed all the components were discovered,confirmed and none were excluded previously but had never looked at the charged option.  When I looked they all shows Charged=No.

    If your license agreement states that the instance should be charged, you can reassign the discovered component to a chargeable product.

    Hi Kim,

    if BAW product is truly deployed it is not normal that all discovered components shows as not charged and You don't have any VPC license usage reported for BAW or Cloud Pak for Business Automation if You did classify the BAW product to it. Either there is still some inaccurate classification or there is something wrong going on.
