  • 1.  Search BigFix elements from ILMT

    Hello Team,
    I got access to the ILMT environment and administrator rights, but did not receive any information about the BigFix localization (ILMT and BigFix on separate servers). Can I ask you to help solve this problem?
     
    1) From "Software Instalation" report in ILMT I found where installed BigFix console but cold not find BigFix server on this machine in  X:\Program Files (x86)\BigFix Enterprise and server elements not visible on "Software Instalation" report. May I find somehow find where BigFix serve located using ILMT?
     
    2)After first step will be done and I will get IP of BigFix server, I need to reset/create the service account in the BigFix console. Can I somehow do this without access to the console?

    Hi,

    1) The bigfix console is the fat client administation tool for the bigfix server. When you open it and the console was connected to the server before you will get information where the bigfix server is installed. Otherwise you have to ask where the installation was done.

    2) If you dont have at least one of bigfix admin account login information for a user gettin acces to the bigfix server will be difficult. You can manipulate the database entries if you have access to the database but this will be tricky for the reasen that the PW is encrypted.

    From the ILMT home screen you can go to Management > Data Sources and find the entry for the BigFiix Data Source. The name of the server is part of the entry.
