    1. What is the migration path?

    2. I am under the impression that version 6.5 maps are binary compatible with 8.X and can run as a drop in into TX 8.x - is that correct?
    2a) if (2) is true, future modifications of the maps will have to be recompiled as v8.x binary?

    3. without recompiling the maps from 6.5, would the map run but not be able to take advantage of the 8.x feature?

    4. Our goal is to minimize the ugprade effort upfront -- are there other options?

    5. If (2) and (4) are not feasible, what are the typical gotchas during migration?

    Any insights/comments/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
