    hello, I am installing a power 10 server with ibm 7.4.0 stand-alone, the console does not recognize me, I am putting 25 and 26 in the control panel, but it does not show me 65, nor can I find the default ip 192.168.2.150 Please, what am I doing wrong? What did I miss? I'm booting with a USB, thanks in advance, regards.

    These days, it is much more convenient to use IBM i Console through a HMC.

    Hi Miguel,

    For the first start in D M mode  (installation mode from secondary source (USB Key, Optical drive, or Tape) you have to use a PC without firewall and anti-virus disabled.

    You have to connect your ethernet cable on the first ethernet port if you have 2 ethernets cards connect the cable on the first card (The right-most card and the 1st port at the top of the card when connecting the cable). Start the server in DM mode with USB key in a USB3 port (on the rear left side of the server).Start the system 

    If usb key is connected and have load source you will see src code C20060F0, this code is a good sign that system find LID. Wait for code C6004508 when this code is display on the panel, start i access client solutio,  on the left of the windows in management part use system configuration and on the windows systems configuration,clic on locate console,  after some time you will invite to connect. Use ID/PAS : 11111111/11111111.

    Continue the installation
