As many of you know, starting around IDS14.10.FC10W1 / CSDK4.50.FC10W1, Informix stopped working for many SSL connections because the Informix libraries weren't working correctly with newer versions of CSDK. If I'm not mistaken, and GSKit newer than 8.0.55.26 would break, giving -28014.
IDS/CSDK FC11W1 is supposed to fix this. And it does, sort of. I did a battery of tests across multiple CMs and servers and all CMs respond correctly now when running FC11W1 / GSKit 8.0.60.1
However..
There's now a problem on the client side. Client programs running older versions of the CSDK can connect successfully across the board. Client programs running FC11W1 can now direct-connect to DB servers as well (which failed with FC10W1). They can also connect via a CM if the CM is also on 4.50.FC11W1. But if such a client, running with FC11W1, tries to connect via a CM that's running an older version of the SDK -- e.g., FC10 -- that connection will fail with -28014.
I'm curious if anyone else can replicate this behavior.
