  • 1.  SPSS Windows 29.0.1.0,PSM problem

    My version of SPSS is Windows 29.0.1.0, my problem is that I want to do PSM, but compared with the old version, I can't find the entrance, so I want to ask for help

    I'm not sure what you mean, but there are two PSM procedures.  One is Data > Propensity Score Matching and the other is Data > Case Control Matching.

    They both use the FUZZY extension command for the actual matching, but the first one uses a logistic regression score for selecting the matches while the second one uses a bounding box of the selected matching variables.

    These are usually installed automatically with SPSS, but if they aren't present, you can install them via Extensions > Extension Hub.  Look for STATS PSM and FUZZY.

    There was an older version of the PSM dialog, but it was upgraded to a full extension command some time ago.

    Hi @Lu Yang,
    You might also try a clean install of IBM SPSS Statistics 29.0.2.0 (20). Release 29.0.2.0 will give you fixes released for the 29.x version after 29.0.1.0.  Also, if there were any updates to the default extension commands, doing a fresh install will ensure you get the latest releases of these.

    One caveat: Extension commands, as well as other user-specific files are stored under your user profile.  You'll want to delete this path prior to re-installing to be sure you get the newest versions of everything.

    Windows: %APPDATA%\IBM\SPSS Statistics\one

    macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/IBM/SPSS Statistics/one
