While configuring SFTP Reverse proxy configuration in sterling secure proxy, is it possible to authenticate SSP via keys from WinSCP without Sterling external authentication server ?

Is it really required to configure SEAS for password/key based authentication for SFTP reverse proxy configuration in Sterling Secure Proxy ?

Hi,

For password authentication, you may use just SSP and SFG without SEAS. But for SSH Key authentication, the SFTP single-sign-on does not work without SEAS. 

So for Key based authentication, the options would be - 

   1) Implement SFTP using SFG and SFG PS only (no SSP and no SEAS)  or

   2) Use both SSP and SEAS and use external authentication.
