  • 1.  Virtual Hierarchies in Quick Report not showing on TM1Web

    Good Afternoon, 

    I have built a quick report with virtual hierarchies, published it and trying to view it on TM1Web. The report doesn't refresh when a new parameter is selected e.g. when I select Period 02 from Period 01, or they fields become blank under the virtual hierarchy. 

    Does TM1Web support virtual hierarchies? If so, is there settings/configuration required for this? 

    Any help will be appreciated.

    When named hierarchies first emerged they were not supported by TM1Web.

    Your use case is slightly different in that you are publishing a quick report in a websheet - but I think this is still missing.

    Hi Sarah,

    The short answer to your question is no, they are not currently supported in TM1Web.  

    Hierarchies are only currently supported by Planning Analytics for Excels non-formula mode reports (quick reports and explorations) and by Planning Analytics Workspace books.  They are also supported for us in TI processes and a limited number of rules.  We are working on a new report mode in PAfE that will support hierarchies in both Excel and Websheets (TM1Web). 

    As an aside...hierarchies are not virtual in any sense.  They are as real as any other object in a TM1 model.  We are still looking into hierarchies that are truly dynamic based attributes as a future enhancement.  We will not see this in TM1 Server in 2020.
