  • 1.  Ability to assign 'selector' widget element as a variable to MDX view in PAW

    Team,

    Is it possible to dynamically assign the element in the 'selector' widget as a variable to the MDX view? For ex, if I change the month to 'Feb', I want to see Feb, Q2(current Quarter) and YTD in the view. Can PAW do this?

    Hi Chaturvedi,

    We just (2.0.95) added a feature that might help.  Please see: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/planning-analytics/2.0.0?topic=2095-new-synchronization-settings-allow-customized-display-hierarchies. 

    Using the above feature, the configuration of the selector widget will remain the same, but you would configure the cube viewer to display the member and ancestors for the advanced synchronization setting on the specific hierarchy.  This will only work if you pull the selector tile out of the cube viewer overview area.

    Thank you stuart. I will upgrade to the latest version and test this out.

    Do you know when the PAW 2.1.4 will get released?
