  • 1.  Cognos 11.1.7 Log User action on folders

    Hi,
    I would like to know if it is possible to record if a user deletes a folder or report from Team Content folder.
    We currently have Cognos 11.1.7 installed and the Audit package activated.

    Very few users have full permissions on Team Content, only the development group.

    Hi, 

    In the audit package, there is a query subject called Actions by Object (or something similar; I do not have the package right now) that can give you information about when an object was created, modified, deleted, moved etc. You can filter on the path to see only entries from Team Content.

    Diego Campos – yes, you can look at the cogipf_action table, this will detail all actions a user executes when they log onto the Cognos Analytics Portal.

    @Diego Campos Cognos has the Audit Reporting Package and Audit Extension that provides additional audit info (areas covered: Account Audit, Content Audit, Role/Capability Audit)

    Diego Campos –yes, the following query that you can run on the audit database will provide you with all deletes that have occurred:

     

    select *

      from COGIPF_ACTION

    where 1=1

       and COGIPF_OPERATION = 'DELETE'
