  • 1.  Warning to User before wiping?

    Hello:
    For some of my users, they would like an additional warning before their phone is wiped. Is this possible? I can't seem to find it in the settings.

    Hi Jacqueline,  If it's a matter of how many notices they get and how often, you can control that in Compliance Rules in the Enforcement Rules tab. In each section of each rule the Enforcement Action can be multi-tiered. In other words you can send a warning message immediately followed up by several other warnings in subsequent days by using the + on the right of each action to keep adding actions. For example, depending on the violation I warn them on occurrence, 1 day after, 1 day after that and then we wipe. I have a couple of rules where I warn every 3 days etc. Once you reach the "Wipe" action however, I don't believe there is a way for the user to be warned say in 5 minute intervals, etc. It just wipes at that point.     Hi Jacqueline, 
    Nice to meet you! I see Robert Yeager has given a response whereby you could notify the user automatically using actions in Compliance Rules. This would allow you to let them know before the Wipe action is taken, where it has been set to happen automatically ie without manual administrator action. 
    In addition to this if this is a feature you would like to see for manual actions, you could also raise an Enhancement Request for inclusion in new features. To do this you can log on to the following site and request in a few short minutes:
