  • 1.  Need the Difference between httpd.conf and apachectl

    Hi Team,

    Could you please advise the exact difference between httpd.conf and apachectl commands?
     We can start the HTTP server with the help of both the commands, but just want to know the difference. Someone please help me on this.

    Hi Srikanth,

    Please let us know how are you starting the HTTP Server. Basically what commands are you using to start the server.

    Hi Srikanth,

    httpd.conf is a configuration file (and not a command) which is used by default, when we start the web server using apachectl command.
