During the first CyberScholar Series, TAC is pleased to be joined by Dave Kliemann, the Cloud Risk and Controls leader for the IBM Cloud for Financial Services and adjunct teaching cybersecurity at Marquette University.
Dave Kliemann is the Cloud Risk and Controls Leader for the IBM Cloud for Financial Services. He helps clients & internal IBM partners to understand key cloud related security issues, regulatory requirements, and risks. Dave also helps ensure the success of the regional IBM Financial Services Cloud Councils.
Prior to joining IBM, Dave was VP, Cybersecurity & Technology Risk at Fiserv, a Fortune 500 Fintech. In this role he led the metrics, reporting, and governance to drive a continuous improvement of Fiserv’s cybersecurity posture. In previous Fiserv roles, he led the IT/Cybersecurity Audit Programs, Cyber Threat Intelligence, and Security Monitoring Teams. Dave was also a 20-year U.S. Naval Officer, including leadership positions in Information Operations and Cybersecurity teams.
Dave currently is an adjunct teaching cybersecurity at Marquette University and an advisory board member of MU’s Center for Cybersecurity Awareness and Cyber Defense. He has a B.S. in Computer Science from the U.S. Naval Academy, an M.S. in Technology Management and MBA from the University of Maryland, along with a Masters Certificate in Information, Systems, and Operations from the Naval Post Graduate School.
