UIAgent is new solution from IBM that allows business users to build web-based UI automations without writing any line of code. Putting such capability in the hands of business users to automate the daily repetitive tasks will reduce IT backlog and increase productivity. The automations built with UIAgent are designed to be resilient to changes in the UI, such as web element renaming or repositioning on the page. In this session, we will demonstrate how AI technology is leveraged to ensure the robustness of these automations in the face of UI changes. We will walk you through the process of creating and running web-based automation from chrome extension and invoking the automation using natural language interface from Watson Assistant Chat.

Suman Kalia
Suman Kalia is a Senior Development Analyst at IBM’s Toronto Lab in Canada, where he leads the architecture and development of IBM’s Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solution. He brings extensive experience in designing and implementing enterprise-grade distributed systems and development tools for IBM middleware technologies, including WebSphere Application Server and IBM Integration Bus. He possesses deep expertise in object-oriented system modeling, data modeling, industry-standard messaging formats, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and developing cloud-based microservices solutions. He also has a strong background in cloud events and alert management systems.
Madhur Vashisht
Madhur Vashisht is the Product Manager for UIAgent and IBM RPA. He has extensive experience in the UI automation space working with both internal and competitor products, both in the service and software domains. Madhur’s work span across RPA development, consulting, customer success and product management. His industry experience and deep competitive insights is helping shape the future of UIAgent.
Walfrey Ng
Walfrey Ng is the Senior Development Manager for two offerings within IBM Business Automation: Business Automation Manager Open Editions and Robotic Process Automation. Walfrey also leads innovation in No-Code UI Automation, leveraging AI to enhance resiliency. Previously, Walfrey was a Development Manager for IBM Business Automation Workflow, leading and managing various workflow components and driving seamless integrations with Watson Orchestrate and Watson Assistant.
