Join us in Rome from 21–23 April 2026 for a dedicated IZWS Guide event focused on IBM Z Workload Scheduler (and some distributed scheduling topics).
As 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of OPC - the original product name of IBM Z Workload Scheduler - we decided to celebrate and come together in Rome - close to the development lab where this product is being developed.
The event is organised by the GSE Working Group Germany (COPCD) and follows the successful format of previous user group gatherings, bringing together product experts, developers, and experienced users from across the community.
Over three days, participants will have the opportunity to hear directly from development teams, product management, and fellow Workload Scheduler practitioners. The agenda includes sessions on product updates and strategy, best practices, high availability approaches, and practical WAPL use cases, offering valuable insights for both experienced users and those looking to deepen their expertise.
With the event taking place in Rome, many of the sessions will be delivered by members of the local product development team, providing direct access to the specialists behind the technology.
The conference will be presented in English.
Whether you are looking to stay up to date with the latest developments, exchange ideas with peers, or gain practical guidance from experts, this event offers an excellent opportunity to engage with the IBM Z Workload Scheduler community in an interactive and collaborative setting.
Send an email to Robert Wittmann (Robert.Wittmann@extern.f-i-ts.de), who is the chairman of the COPCD, to register for the event.
